Celebrate the exploits of one of the galaxy’s pluckiest droids in this epic space saga
Loveable astromech droid BB8 originally belonged to Poe Dameron, the best pilot in the Resistance. Separated from his master when Poe is captured by Kylo Ren, fate leads him to Rey, a desert scavenger. This sets off a chain reaction of events that introduces us to new characters in the Star Wars universe while serving up some long overdue reunions.
As the franchise is passed from one generation to the next, Royal Mail has produced a stamp and coin cover celebrating some of the series’ most iconic characters. Royal Mail’s striking stamps are accompanied by a specially commissioned Royal Mint medal.
This limited edition cover features a stamp sheet including eight stamps and an information card written by Star Wars expert Simon Beecroft. It features a stunningly detailed schematic plan drawing of BB8. Each cover contains a Brilliant Uncirculated medal designed exclusively for this product.
The obverse of the medal shows BB8 in brilliant detail aboard the Millennium Falcon while the reverse shows the little droid following Rey on the planet of Jakku.
The stamps are cancelled by an exclusive handstamp featuring the Star, Winscombe location, uniquely tying these stamps to the cover..
