A new silver Peter Rabbit™ coin for 2017
The Icon of Beatrix Potter’s Work
The adventurous hero of Beatrix Potter’s first book was so popular that ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’ became the first in a series of 23 ‘small books for small hands’. The inquisitive bunny is no doubt the star of the little tales and is widely recognised as the emblem of Beatrix Potter’s work, popping up in other stories including ‘The Tale of Benjamin Bunny’.
This new 50p coin for 2017 is only the second official United Kingdom coin to feature Peter Rabbit. It features one of the most famous images of Peter Rabbit™, scampering away, perhaps on the hunt for more mischief. The 925 sterling silver coin features colour printing, highlighting elements like Peter’s signature blue jacket. The coin has been finished to Proof standard and comes in a clear acrylic presentation case.
