A Regal Piedfort Celebrates the World-Famous Protectors of the Tower of London

Standing on the banks of the river Thames for nearly 1,000 years, royal tradition and history runs deep within the walls of the Tower of London. The fortress has long been protected by the Yeoman Warders who, dressed in their iconic uniforms, bring history alive for visitors to this day.

This is the third release in the series and the reverse design depicts a Yeoman Gaoler standing proud with his ceremonial axe and in his traditional uniform, overlapping a section of the Tower’s walls.  When all four coins in the series are placed together it creates a plan of the Tower of London. This silver Proof piedfort edition is double the weight of silver than the standard £5 coin and is one of the lowest mintages in the collection, making this coin hugely collectable.
