Carrying a denomination of 20 shillings, the gold Laurel was only issued during the reign of James I and takes its name from the wreath that James is wearing in the portrait on the obverse. This coin features the Rose mint mark which indicates it was struck between 24 June 1620 and 8 June 1621.
