This 1892 year-dated Sovereign was struck in 22 carat gold at the Melbourne branch mint and is graded as Fine+. The reverse features a small mint mark ‘M’ at the centre of the ground beneath the design to denote it as being struck at the Melbourne branch mint. The obverse features the Jubilee portrait of Queen Victoria designed by Joseph Edgar Boehm. The reverse features the classic St George and the dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci which first appeared on The Sovereign in 1817.
