When the first Winnie-the-Pooh book was published, it became an instant classic and for nearly a century the loveable bear and his friends have entertained us with their adventures. Now, the wisest inhabitant of the Hundred Acre Wood is the focus of the fifth coin in our collection inspired by the original stories of A. A. Milne.

Owl is always there to offer helpful advice to his friends and E. H. Shepard’s illustration, depicting him poised to write something important, has been captured with beautiful colour printing. The busy bee in the design connects the scene to the previous coins in the collection and those that are still to come.

This is the first time Owl has featured on his own coin that has been struck by The Royal Mint. Just 18,000 925 sterling silver coins are available in this Limited Edition Presentation, each comes in a beautifully decorated acrylic block with a booklet all about Pooh’s helpful friend Owl.
