In 2017, we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the modern Sovereign – a coin unrivalled in quality, accuracy and design. For two centuries The Sovereign has been a constant of British coinage, admired and trusted through times of change.
The Sovereign’s bold St George and the dragon design was created by Benedetto Pistrucci, representing integrity and resilience. It features a new shield mint mark, placed proudly below the defeated dragon, to signify the 200-year anniversary. The coin’s obverse features the fifth definitive portrait of Her Majesty The Queen by Jody Clark.
The Sovereign 2017 Gold Bullion Coin is available in any quantity. Single coins (1-24) will be packaged individually in coin capsules whilst coins in quantities of 25 and over will be packaged and sealed in plastic tubes.
We offer free UK delivery and the 2017 Royal Mint Bullion Gold Sovereign will be dispatched, fully insured in a sealed, nondescript package; there are no identifiable markings to suggest the contents.
