Struck to Brilliant Uncirculated standard, this UK 50p coin explores the life and legacy of the giant deer, one of many large mammals to roam during the Ice Age. The giant deer had very large antlers, grown exclusively by the adult males, which shed in the spring and regrew in time for autumn and winter. This large herbivore would have coexisted with the woolly mammoth but was also present in more temperate climates when the woolly mammoth and woolly rhinoceros lived further north. The reverse design has been created by palaeo-artist Robert Nicholls in collaboration with the Natural History Museum and expert guidance from palaeobiologist Professor Adrian Lister.

If we are unable to deliver your order within 21 days, you will be offered substitute goods if available and/or revised delivery date. At your option, you may accept the substitute goods or the revised delivery date. Alternatively, you may cancel your order in which case a full refund for the goods will be provided.
Delivery charges are determined by the delivery address of the customer. The following delivery charges apply to all UK orders:

For international orders, the following charges apply to orders:
