Struck in sterling silver to Proof standard, this UK 50p coin captures a scientifically accurate depiction of the woolly rhinoceros. One of many megafaunas to roam during the Pleistocene Epoch, the woolly rhinoceros lived in the same environment as the woolly mammoth. Similar in appearance to the African white rhino, the woolly rhinoceros would have had a thick mane and a double-layered coat to help it survive in temperatures as low as -60°C. The reverse design by palaeo-artist Robert Nicholls has been created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum and expert guidance from palaeobiologist Professor Adrian Lister.
Delivery and Returns
In-stock items are despatched within 21 working days. If the product you would like to order is not in stock, we will endeavour to deliver your goods within 21 days of acceptance of your order. If we are unable to deliver your order within 21 days, you will be offered substitute goods if available and/or revised delivery date. At your option, you may accept the substitute goods or the revised delivery date. Alternatively, you may cancel your order in which case a full refund for the goods will be provided.
Delivery charges are determined by the delivery address of the customer. The following delivery charges apply to all UK orders:
- Order value £20 or under (Standard Delivery) - £3.00
- Order value £20.01 -£250 (Recorded Delivery) - £5.00
- Order value over £250 (Special Delivery) - £9.00
For international orders, the following charges apply to orders:
- Standard Delivery - £12.50
