Sir Winston Churchill is known as the leader of Britain’s coalition government during the Second World War and one of the nation’s most memorable prime ministers. However, it was the experiences of his younger years that influenced the man he would later become. Towards the end of the nineteenth century, Churchill served in the Queen’s 4th Hussars, whilst young Churchill also worked as a war correspondent that led to his love of writing.
