This commemorative bronze medal year-dated 1708 celebrates the victory of the Grand Alliance at the Battle of Oudenaarde. Troops were led to victory by the Duke of Marlborough and Prince Eugene of Savoy in a battle that was a major engagement in the War of the Spanish Succession. This bronze medal is in Extremely Fine condition.
The obverse of the medal features a crowned bust of Queen Anne. The reverse of the medal designed by John Croker features an image of two prisoners bound to a column of victory.
