For 95 years the Winnie-the-Pooh storybooks have been the perfect bedtime stories, handed down from one generation to another. Now, as we mark the anniversary of the first book’s publication, we’ve brought Winnie the Pooh and his faithful friends from the Hundred Acre Wood together to celebrate. Inspired by E. H. Shepard’s charming illustrations, the group has been captured on a 22 carat gold UK 50p coin, which has been struck to Proof standard. A friendly bee also joins the scene – a detail that unites all of the coins in the collection.

This collection marks the first time the wonderful world of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh has featured on coins struck by The Royal Mint and each design has been approved by Buckingham Palace. Just 525 gold Proof coins are presented in a case that also includes a beautifully designed booklet all about these loveable friends.
