Winnie the Pooh is the much-loved, ‘silly old bear’ who has won over the hearts of generations of readers. Now, Pooh Bear is starring on a coin struck by The Royal Mint for the first time, and he’ll soon be joined by more of his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood.
Pooh has been captured in one of E. H. Shepard’s original illustrations enjoying a ‘smackeral’ of honey, joined by a friendly bee – a detail that you’ll spot on the other coins in the series.
This coin is a purely commemorative edition so you won’t find it in your change. Each coin comes with a fold-out wallet where you can find out more about Winnie the Pooh, his friends and the Hundred Acre Wood.
